Hall of Fame Inductees
The Rome Sports Hall of Fame honors and recognizes outstanding athletes and other sports personalities from Rome, NY. Our inductees are nominated and then chosen by a committee. We recognize those people with a strong connection to Rome who have made significant and noteworthy contributions to the furtherance of sports programs, teams, and athletes.
Nominate A Sports Personality
In order for an individual to be nominated, the athlete must either have been from the city of Rome or have a long term association with the area to be considered "home town" and commonly associated with Rome by the general public.
They must also meet one of the following criteria:
1. Is or was an outstanding athlete In high school, college, amateur or professional sports
2. Is or was a coach or manager who has made a significant contribution to sports
3. Is an individual whose efforts and talents provided leadership, administration, organization, direction, inspiration, positive contributions and motivation in the furtherance of sports programs, teams, and athletes.
