The Rome Sports Hall of Fame would like to thank and gratefully acknowledge the Roman Runners who do an annual run at the Hall and donate all of their proceeds to us! We sincerely THANK YOU!! This year's event is scheduled for Thursday, November 26, 2026.

A heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to the Rome community for their continuing support with our Annual Brooks BBQ Fundraiser! We look forward to another successful event. This year, the BBQ will be on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the Rome Alliance Church on Turin Road, from 3-6pm. Order ahead to guarantee your dinner. More information will be out soon.

This year's annual golf scramble will be held on August 2, 2026, at Rome Country Club once again. In the past we have had much success, all thanks to our sponsors and participants. We anticipate another successful tournament as this is one of our biggest fundraisers for the HOF. If you have golfed in it before or sponsored a hole, then we hope to see you again! If you are new to our event, we welcome you and thank you for considering us!

We look forward to hosting another year of the Cycle the Erie Canal Event as the RSHOF will provide a comfort station and some refreshments for the cyclists on their way to Fort Stanwix for the night. This year's event will be on July 16, 2026. We have had many of the 500+ bicyclists stop at the Hall of Fame during their ride that day. Many of them go inside to look at our artifacts and learn about some of our Roman history. It is always a lot of fun getting to meet new folks

The deadline to receive applications for potential inductee nominations for this year's consideration, is March 1, 2026. Any new applications or updates on current applications, may continue to be e-mailed or mailed at any time throughout the year. Please send directly to the Rome City Recreation Department for future consideration.

2nd Annual RSHOF Bocce Tournament Please join us for the 2nd Annual RSHOF Bocce Tournament scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the Toccolana Club in Rome. The tournament will host only four-person CO-ED teams (2 males and 2 females). The entry fee is $200. Teams are on a first come-first served basis. There will be cash prizes. The Rome Sports Hall of Fame 48th Annual Induction Weekend will be held on Sunday, July 26th, 2026 . The location this year is to be announced. Visitors to the Rome Sports Hall of Fame may notice some of the older inductee plaques have faded over the years, in particular, the old images adhered to the plaques. There is now a new process being used on our plaques that not only resists fading, but also allows us to use color photographs. We have updated all the plaques to this new process going back to 2014. We are inviting inductees, or their family members, who wish to upgrade a plaque to the new technique to contact
